Sudhir M : Farmer who lost everything in Kosi Floods When Kosi river was flooded in 2008, my field and the crops
were ruined. My house flowed away along with the water. Government
had promised us to build our homes and many other things. However,
till now we have not received any support from them. Right now I’m
living in a tent with my family.
Due to the floods, our land has become less fertile. As, along
with the water came sand, this spread across our near-by areas.
So now, very few amount of crops are grown in our fields, we are
adjusting our existence with this minimum income. Because of which
I also involved myself in doing labour work.
