What is the purpose of VoiceOfBharat.org ?
A lot of people talk about two India's. A developed urban India and an underdeveloped rural India. India plans to become a Developed Nation by 2020, and this is possible only when the rural India catches up with the urban India and the urban India learns what it should, from the rural India.

Thane : Our experimental platform
Developed Nation Network Trust
At 11054131, Thane is India's largest district in terms of population. With 15% tribal population and over 70 000 disabled population (census 2001), a great combination of urban, rural, agriculture, industry and handicrafts, the district is mini India, except perhaps the problems of naxalism.

We have visited 1021 rural schools of the district last year and are currently taking a competition involving 130 Ashram Shala's (over 50 000 students) with TJSB.
We are also working on a project to help girls from 4th and 7th standard in their scholarship and girld from 5th standard in their navodaya exams. This programme, sponsored by Tata Power is being run in Sakur Ashram Shala which has 600 girls. If you want to see the programme live, we can organise a Skype conversation with our teacher.

We have now developed a network in about 1000 villages of Thane district and would be happy to work with you on just any programme of your interest.
