Brief About Maharajganj District
The District Maharajganj came into existence on 2nd October, 1989.
This newly created District is situated at INDO NEPAL Border. Its
boundaries touch Nepal Estate in north, Gorakhpur district in south,
Padrauna district in east and Siddharth Nagar & Sant Kabir Nagar
districts in west. Its shape is about rectangular.Total area of
district is 2934.1 sq. Km., out of which 11.59% area is covered
by forest.
