Educational backwardness is the major challenge faced by the people
of Kishanganj. As per the census of 2001 Kishanganj is the least
literate district of Bihar. Among women the literacy rate is only
18% and among minority communities it’s even worse. Government
doesn’t provide with good infrastructure.
Lack of good hospitals, shortage of doctors and unavailability
of medicines are key health hazards in the district.
