Voice of Guna : Ajay Kumar Sukla

Few years back, the official records showed 5 lakh hectares forest land in the district, today, they mention only 1.5 lakh hectares.

This diminishing of forest lands has affected many adivasi families who were dependent on the forest.

Migration to the district from near by state (Gujarat) and districts is estimated to be around 2 lakh. Most of them have used the forest land to start agriculture.
