Following are the social and developmental challenges of the district:
The rate of illiteracy amongst the large number of tribal population
in the district.
Men spend their daily income on consuming alcohol rather than utilizing
the same for their family.
Shortage of rains is adversely affecting agriculture.
Unemployment in the district has lead many people to migrate to
other states hunting for job opportunities.
The status of women in the district is not good. There are no livelihood
opportunities available for women.
