| Voice of Tumkur : Dr.
L. Hidayathulla

The literacy rate is very depressing in our district. Parents are
ignorant about the importance of education and they fail to send
their children to school.
Unemployment is a grave challenge of Tumkur district.
Agriculture is the only source of income. Artisans and craftsmen
have also turned to agriculture to sustain themselves.
Child labour is a big crisis which needs to be attended to urgently.
