Brief About Parbhani District

Parbhani is one of the districts in the state of Maharashtra, India. It is famous for the agricultural university. Parbhani has been described as the land of saints, as several saints have been associated with Parbhani including like saint Namdeo from Narsi, Janabai from Gangakhed. The famous mathematician Bhaskarbhatt was from Bori in Parbhani district. Parbhani is geographically located at the centre of marathwada and is a major railway junction connecting Andhra with Marathwada. Parbhani is also known as a store of Jowar in Marathwada. Parbhani is a land of co-operative,calm and helpfull people.

Climate

The center receives an average annual rainfall of 993 mm in 47 rainy days. The rainy season starts during 3rd week of June and ends in last week of October with duration of 20 weeks. The average monsoon seasonal rainfall (June to September) is 834 mm and can vary from 472 mm to 1530 mm. Peak rainfall occurs during last week of July. Daytime temperature varies from 28.7° C (last week of December) to 41.4° C (1st week of May), while the nighttime temperature varies from 10.5° C (3rd week of December) to 26.0° C (last week of May).
